Set on the Tongue River Indian Reservation, Montana Territory, 1885
Warrior Dreams
Healing Hands, Healing Heart
The massacre at the Little Bighorn has given Doctor Suzette Stanwood reason to fear the Cheyenne---yet nothing can dampen her resolve to aid the reservation’s ill and injured. Nor can she deny her attraction to the handsome brave who is brought to her in shackles... and whose touch enflames her blood with passion’s fire.
A government agent disguised as a captured warrior, proud and courageous half-breed Lance Harden is torn between his devotion to his father’s people...and his desire for the beautiful frontier healer. Never before has any woman so tempted him beyond endurance with her breathtaking sensuality---steeling Lance’s determination to win Suzette’s reluctant heart... and oppose the perilous forces of hatred and prejudice that forbid their magnificent love.
Warrior Dreams
“Teach me some of your veho words,” Lance said.
Suzette flushed and smiled hesitantly. “What words would you like to know?”
He raised his head and brushed his tongue against her sweet, enticing lips. “Vitanov,” he said.
“Tongue,” she replied in a suffocated voice.
Cupping the ivory globe of her breast in his hand, he bent his head and kissed its rosy crest. “Maton,” he said.
She shook her head at his audacity. “Now you’re just being naughty. If you’re not going to take our lessons seriously, we won’t continue.”
He reached up and took her lovely face in his hands. “Beautiful eyes, I take our lessons more seriously than you would ever know.” His voice was hoarse with an ardent, undisguised desire. “And now it’s time for me to teach you how a man worships an angel that’s fallen to the earth at his feet.”
