Montana Angel

Devil’s Delight

Wealthy mine owner Ross Morgan is ready with a scathing reception for the lady lawyer from Boston, who had written him a critical letter challenging the safety of the mine where her brother died. But the “spinster” he anticipated is nothing less than a knock-out, whose sensual brown eyes immediately turn his wrath to thoughts of romance.

Nell Ryan will have none of it. She trusts no man, least of all a handsome, golden-haired devil like Ross, who obviously believes he can charm his way into any woman’s heart. But Ross is determined to ignite the sexual fires that glow beneath her cool facade. And tricking her into representing him leads to days of building legal defenses...and nights of sweet ecstasy that leave both of them defenseless.

“I know why you schemed to keep me here,” Nell told him.

Ross pushed away from the porch railing to tower above her. “You’re right, Nell,” he said in a thick, raspy voice. “I’ll admit it. I want you. I’m burnin’ up with it.”

“Well, you can burn in hell for all I care,” she whispered. “If you think I’m going to let a practiced womanizer seduce me, you’re in for a big surprise.”

“I’m not a womanizer.” His words were clipped and short. He took a menacing step closer. The wariness in her gaze told him she wasn’t ready to listen to anything more he had to say that night. “I’ll see you in the mornin’.”

Then Ross leaned his shoulder against a porch column and stared absently out at the gathering dusk. Now that he’d found her, now that he’d kissed her, now that he’d breathed in the intoxicating scent of gardenias in her hair and tasted the honeyed warmth of her sweet mouth he had no intention of ever letting Nell Ryan go.
